If it's your first time...
Yoga is about balancing body, mind and spirit. It is a non-competitive form of exercise and you don't
have to be flexible or in good shape to start. Flexibility and strength are side-effects of continuous yoga practice and you too will,
after a while, become more flexible, stronger and in better shape.
Yoga is also very healing. People with knee replacements,
fused vertebrae, cancer, depression, ADD, insomnia and other ailments do practice Hot Yoga and benefit greatly from it.
Practicing
yoga also builds character. While in the postures, you develop determination, patience and acceptance. You will learn to breathe
and relax, the mind becomes still and you begin to listen to yourself and your body.
Don't worry about what others are doing
in class. Yoga is non-competitive so be non-judgmental, self-accepting and kind to yourself, and do your best. Better health
and harmony between body, mind and spirit are the goal and practice of yoga.
We look forward to seeing you in class!
